NEW BLOG!!!

 NEW BLOG!

Hello lovelies! I hope you are all doing well. I am very excited to announce that I have moved to a new blog which basically is a continuation of this one. The reason why I moved is mostly because I loved the flexibility I could have with designing my blog and its display. Nothing has really changed, apart from some extra bits and bops that make the navigation in the blog easier. I really love my blog here, since this is where I first got the chance to put my idea into action, but life is all about evolving and improving ourselves. Not all change is bad right? You can check both blogs as this one has already quite a few posts that I find quite interesting, and check the new one for all the exciting stuff that is about to come. Thank you and I hope you will continue with me in this beautiful journey that now takes place in the new blog.

SPRING-SUMMER 2015 TRENDS: FLORALS

Spring - Summer 2015  Trends

CHAPTER 1

Garden in Blossom

Miu Miu

Simon Rocha

Hello everyone! I can't believe spring has already kicked in! It seems like Christmas was just a week ago, doesn't it? That's crazy! Nevertheless I am so happy that March is here and although it is still very cold in my country I can feel the weather getting warmer soon enough. Therefore, it's about time to enrich our wardrobe with some lovely pieces inspired by the trends of this year's spring and summer. I am always very excited going through new trends especially the spring ones! Through a series of chapters we will take a look of the spring and summer fashion and we will search to find key pieces that represent each trend. Let's get started shall we?

Now this is an oldie but a goodie. We all know that spring is all about blossomed flowers so there is no spring fashion without the usual suspects such as florals. As Miranda Priestly said in Devil wears Prada, florals in spring are hardly groundbreaking. However, this year's florals vary a lot; from head to toe co-ords as seen in Marni and Simon Rocha, metallic petals for Louis Vuitton and muted abstract blossoms that jumped right out of the 60's for MaxMara, flowers are everywhere. In trenches and duster coats, shorts, skirts and even suits. You can go for a discrete look with a silky blouse or a pretty pair of shorts, or you can make a bold statement in a two piece suit. But do not worry girls! If these brands are not within your pocket's reach (like me), florals are taking over spring collections of more affordable and high street brands. Take a look at the beautiful pieces below from Missguided; aren't they absolutely beautiful? The dress is so girly and 50's inspired and this gorgeous blazer with the floral sleeves is a key piece you can pair with trousers, skirts, shorts as well as denim! Also in Topshop there are some beautiful co-ords and shorts and in River Island I have already found an amazing skirt that has to be mine! Floral is here and it's affordable for everyone!

PS.God I definitely need those two pieces from Missguided!!

This season, flower is in power! Investing in a couple of statement pieces that you can pair either with denim for a casual look or with heels for a more chic and sophisticated look, is a must. Big or minimal, floral patterns can always turn any look into more feminine and romantic. So don't waste any time and enrich your wardrobe with blooming petals! I know i will!

TOO FACED - CHOCOLATE BAR REVIEW AND SWATCHES

TOO FACED CHOCOLATE BAR PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

Chocolate bar - Smell like candy

TOO FACED CHOCOLATE BAR

Top row left to right:  strawberry bon bon, marzipan, salted caramel, gilded ganache, black forest truffle,  milk chocolate, white chocolate, triple fudge--Bottom row left to right: champagne truffle, semi sweet, creme brulee, haute chocolate, cherry cordial, amaretto, candied violet

Hello lovelies, another palette another review. I know that this is the second in a row Too Faced review but what can a girl do right? Too Faced is a brand I am absolutely in love with. It all started with the Cocoa Powder foundation ( review coming soon), followed by the Everything Nice palette and now with the Chocolate Bar. I had my eyes on this palette for a while now but i always ended up buying something else instead. Now, I have many palettes and eye shadows but I felt I just HAD to have it because this palette is literally everything!!

You all know that I am a nude/brown eye shadow junkie. I feel these shades compliment my eye and hair color more and they are easy to pull off as well as very versatile. Therefore, you can never have enough nudes. This palette is perfect because it consists of 16 shadows, which are a good mixture of nude/brown ones and a couple of special purple/pink ones. The selection of colors is amazing. You have two larger shadows in nude/champagne color for highlighting and then the rest vary from caramel, to gold and dark brown. The special ones are a lovely baby pink, a purple with pink glitter (a personal favorite) and a cherry red one which is truly unique. The finish of the shadows varies as well since you have matte ones, subtle glittery and satin ones. The pigmentation is gorgeous. They are very intense and as you can see in the picture, even the nude and lighter shades are visible and the color pays off well. They are easily blended and very buildable. You can create many looks with them from everyday natural/nude ones to sexy golden ones for a night out. However, the best part for me is the scent; Chocolate Bar is part of the products Too Faced has created, that are made with real cocoa! How amazing is this? Besides the fact that real cocoa is a natural ingredient, it also smells amazing. The scent is not unpleasantly strong, instead it is subtle but enough to create a lovely scent on your face. Playing in the game of the cocoa as an ingredient, Too Faced named all the shades after chocolate sweets and candy, which combined with the palette design, creates the impression that it is a real chocolate you are unfolding!

In all I would recommend this palette by far! As a matter of fact, it has become my favorite recently, even competing with my Naked 3 from Urban Decay! The shades are beautiful and necessary for everyone not only for nude/brown lovers as myself. Pigmented, versatile with a great pay off and an amazing chocolate scent that makes me almost to want to eat them!Almost...! This palette is an essential!! Do you have the Chocolate bar or even the Semi Sweet palette and if so what are your thoughts on them?

Till next time take care dolls ;) xxx

TOO FACED "EVERYTHING NICE" PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

EVERYTHING NICE "THAT'S WHAT PRETTY GIRLS ARE MADE OF"

Too Faced Everything Nice palette review

Hello everyone!I hope you all had fun in the holidays! I know it has been a while since I last posted on the blog and I apologize for that but with the new year new inspiration and joy are going to fill up this blog! For the first post of the year a review of an amazing holiday set/palette seemed quite appropriate. Only recently I discovered the awesomeness of the brand Too Faced and I have been totally hooked. About a month ago I got the new holiday set called "Everything Nice" and I couldn't be more thrilled about it. I had never used the brands's eyeshadows so I was a bit worried about their payoff, pigmentation and fall out. But boy did they prove me wrong!
But first thing's first; before I talk more in depth about the actual palette, I have to add that this set is amazing because besides the palette it also includes a glittery fuchsia make up bag (perfect for travelling) and one of the brand's hit products; the "Better than Sex" mascara! For a while now I have heard a lot about how lovely and good quality it is therefore, I was very excited to get to try it as an extra in this holiday set.
Now lets get started with the palette itself shall we? The "Everything Nice" name couldn't describe this palette better, since it has a little bit of everything that need to make a girl feel and look "nice". First of all it consists of 20 eyeshadows-yes 20!- ranging from nude to jewel colors such as emerald green and sapphire blue, and from matte to  shimmery and glittery ones. The colors are simply beautiful. As it happens with more palettes the matte ones are a bit less pigmented and more sheer than the shimmer/glittery ones. Perfect for a daytime look or for blending/base the matte shadows are by far my favorite. The golden shades are beautiful for a subtle night look and the bright ones at the last row are for a more daring and glamorous look. I am not going to lie but at first I got scared and thought to myself  I will never wear the last row as I would somehow manage to look like a clown, however once I swatched them on my hand I realized they are far less strong and bold than they seem. Of course they are buildable and you can go as intense as you like but just with a little gentle tap of your brush you can create a lovely subtle look. On the following swatches you can see for yourself the pigmentation and payoff as well as how sheer the matte nude ones are.

From top left: heaven, shiny happy, honey pot, don't settle, girly, totally fetch, live it up,too glam, head over heals, chocolate moon, secret lovers, be you, mauvelous, kindness is free, paper roses, knockout, fawned of you, after hours, dream on and turtle dove don't really show because they  are sheer creamy nude ones

Moving  onto the second part of the palette, you get 2 lovely blushes, a peachy one which is perfect for the summertime (at least for me) and a pinky one which is perfect for all year round. Besides that, you also get a nude/peachy highlighter and the very popular chocolate soleil bronzer. God I love this bronzer!Just the fact that it is made with real cocoa powder and smells like hot chocolate has had me sold! Four perfect products for every season and every need from highlighting to bronzing! Finally, you get three mini basic brushes of the high, cruelty free quality that Too Faced is known for. A lovely one for blush, contouring and highlighting and two for the eyes-one of them is angled which makes it perfect for the brows as well. As a cute touch, you get a mini booklet with step to step directions on how to create three looks with the palette!

From left: Inner light, Sweet pink, Papa don't peach, Chocolate soleil

In all, this is an amazing palette as it combines products for the eyes and the face as well as high quality, travel size make up brushes. I would recommend it in a heartbeat as with it you can create a great range of looks for all occasions! Many shades and many textures. It's a set that has to be a part of your collection. Also it is a great introduction to the brand itself. Comment down below and let me know if you have this set and what are your thoughts on it! I hope you all have an amazing 2015!

Till next time take care dolls ;) Xxx
