NEW BLOG!!!

 NEW BLOG!

Hello lovelies! I hope you are all doing well. I am very excited to announce that I have moved to a new blog which basically is a continuation of this one. The reason why I moved is mostly because I loved the flexibility I could have with designing my blog and its display. Nothing has really changed, apart from some extra bits and bops that make the navigation in the blog easier. I really love my blog here, since this is where I first got the chance to put my idea into action, but life is all about evolving and improving ourselves. Not all change is bad right? You can check both blogs as this one has already quite a few posts that I find quite interesting, and check the new one for all the exciting stuff that is about to come. Thank you and I hope you will continue with me in this beautiful journey that now takes place in the new blog.

SPRING-SUMMER 2015 TRENDS: FLORALS

Spring - Summer 2015  Trends

CHAPTER 1

Garden in Blossom

Miu Miu

Simon Rocha

Hello everyone! I can't believe spring has already kicked in! It seems like Christmas was just a week ago, doesn't it? That's crazy! Nevertheless I am so happy that March is here and although it is still very cold in my country I can feel the weather getting warmer soon enough. Therefore, it's about time to enrich our wardrobe with some lovely pieces inspired by the trends of this year's spring and summer. I am always very excited going through new trends especially the spring ones! Through a series of chapters we will take a look of the spring and summer fashion and we will search to find key pieces that represent each trend. Let's get started shall we?

Now this is an oldie but a goodie. We all know that spring is all about blossomed flowers so there is no spring fashion without the usual suspects such as florals. As Miranda Priestly said in Devil wears Prada, florals in spring are hardly groundbreaking. However, this year's florals vary a lot; from head to toe co-ords as seen in Marni and Simon Rocha, metallic petals for Louis Vuitton and muted abstract blossoms that jumped right out of the 60's for MaxMara, flowers are everywhere. In trenches and duster coats, shorts, skirts and even suits. You can go for a discrete look with a silky blouse or a pretty pair of shorts, or you can make a bold statement in a two piece suit. But do not worry girls! If these brands are not within your pocket's reach (like me), florals are taking over spring collections of more affordable and high street brands. Take a look at the beautiful pieces below from Missguided; aren't they absolutely beautiful? The dress is so girly and 50's inspired and this gorgeous blazer with the floral sleeves is a key piece you can pair with trousers, skirts, shorts as well as denim! Also in Topshop there are some beautiful co-ords and shorts and in River Island I have already found an amazing skirt that has to be mine! Floral is here and it's affordable for everyone!

Floral dress Missguided

PS.God I definitely need those two pieces from Missguided!!

This season, flower is in power! Investing in a couple of statement pieces that you can pair either with denim for a casual look or with heels for a more chic and sophisticated look, is a must. Big or minimal, floral patterns can always turn any look into more feminine and romantic. So don't waste any time and enrich your wardrobe with blooming petals! I know i will!

TOO FACED - CHOCOLATE BAR REVIEW AND SWATCHES

TOO FACED CHOCOLATE BAR PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

Chocolate bar - Smell like candy

TOO FACED CHOCOLATE BAR

Top row left to right:  strawberry bon bon, marzipan, salted caramel, gilded ganache, black forest truffle,  milk chocolate, white chocolate, triple fudge--Bottom row left to right: champagne truffle, semi sweet, creme brulee, haute chocolate, cherry cordial, amaretto, candied violet

Hello lovelies, another palette another review. I know that this is the second in a row Too Faced review but what can a girl do right? Too Faced is a brand I am absolutely in love with. It all started with the Cocoa Powder foundation ( review coming soon), followed by the Everything Nice palette and now with the Chocolate Bar. I had my eyes on this palette for a while now but i always ended up buying something else instead. Now, I have many palettes and eye shadows but I felt I just HAD to have it because this palette is literally everything!!

You all know that I am a nude/brown eye shadow junkie. I feel these shades compliment my eye and hair color more and they are easy to pull off as well as very versatile. Therefore, you can never have enough nudes. This palette is perfect because it consists of 16 shadows, which are a good mixture of nude/brown ones and a couple of special purple/pink ones. The selection of colors is amazing. You have two larger shadows in nude/champagne color for highlighting and then the rest vary from caramel, to gold and dark brown. The special ones are a lovely baby pink, a purple with pink glitter (a personal favorite) and a cherry red one which is truly unique. The finish of the shadows varies as well since you have matte ones, subtle glittery and satin ones. The pigmentation is gorgeous. They are very intense and as you can see in the picture, even the nude and lighter shades are visible and the color pays off well. They are easily blended and very buildable. You can create many looks with them from everyday natural/nude ones to sexy golden ones for a night out. However, the best part for me is the scent; Chocolate Bar is part of the products Too Faced has created, that are made with real cocoa! How amazing is this? Besides the fact that real cocoa is a natural ingredient, it also smells amazing. The scent is not unpleasantly strong, instead it is subtle but enough to create a lovely scent on your face. Playing in the game of the cocoa as an ingredient, Too Faced named all the shades after chocolate sweets and candy, which combined with the palette design, creates the impression that it is a real chocolate you are unfolding!

In all I would recommend this palette by far! As a matter of fact, it has become my favorite recently, even competing with my Naked 3 from Urban Decay! The shades are beautiful and necessary for everyone not only for nude/brown lovers as myself. Pigmented, versatile with a great pay off and an amazing chocolate scent that makes me almost to want to eat them!Almost...! This palette is an essential!! Do you have the Chocolate bar or even the Semi Sweet palette and if so what are your thoughts on them?

Till next time take care dolls ;) xxx

TOO FACED "EVERYTHING NICE" PALETTE REVIEW AND SWATCHES

EVERYTHING NICE "THAT'S WHAT PRETTY GIRLS ARE MADE OF"

Too Faced Everything Nice palette review

Hello everyone!I hope you all had fun in the holidays! I know it has been a while since I last posted on the blog and I apologize for that but with the new year new inspiration and joy are going to fill up this blog! For the first post of the year a review of an amazing holiday set/palette seemed quite appropriate. Only recently I discovered the awesomeness of the brand Too Faced and I have been totally hooked. About a month ago I got the new holiday set called "Everything Nice" and I couldn't be more thrilled about it. I had never used the brands's eyeshadows so I was a bit worried about their payoff, pigmentation and fall out. But boy did they prove me wrong!
But first thing's first; before I talk more in depth about the actual palette, I have to add that this set is amazing because besides the palette it also includes a glittery fuchsia make up bag (perfect for travelling) and one of the brand's hit products; the "Better than Sex" mascara! For a while now I have heard a lot about how lovely and good quality it is therefore, I was very excited to get to try it as an extra in this holiday set.
Now lets get started with the palette itself shall we? The "Everything Nice" name couldn't describe this palette better, since it has a little bit of everything that need to make a girl feel and look "nice". First of all it consists of 20 eyeshadows-yes 20!- ranging from nude to jewel colors such as emerald green and sapphire blue, and from matte to  shimmery and glittery ones. The colors are simply beautiful. As it happens with more palettes the matte ones are a bit less pigmented and more sheer than the shimmer/glittery ones. Perfect for a daytime look or for blending/base the matte shadows are by far my favorite. The golden shades are beautiful for a subtle night look and the bright ones at the last row are for a more daring and glamorous look. I am not going to lie but at first I got scared and thought to myself  I will never wear the last row as I would somehow manage to look like a clown, however once I swatched them on my hand I realized they are far less strong and bold than they seem. Of course they are buildable and you can go as intense as you like but just with a little gentle tap of your brush you can create a lovely subtle look. On the following swatches you can see for yourself the pigmentation and payoff as well as how sheer the matte nude ones are.

From top left: heaven, shiny happy, honey pot, don't settle, girly, totally fetch, live it up,too glam, head over heals, chocolate moon, secret lovers, be you, mauvelous, kindness is free, paper roses, knockout, fawned of you, after hours, dream on and turtle dove don't really show because they  are sheer creamy nude ones

Moving  onto the second part of the palette, you get 2 lovely blushes, a peachy one which is perfect for the summertime (at least for me) and a pinky one which is perfect for all year round. Besides that, you also get a nude/peachy highlighter and the very popular chocolate soleil bronzer. God I love this bronzer!Just the fact that it is made with real cocoa powder and smells like hot chocolate has had me sold! Four perfect products for every season and every need from highlighting to bronzing! Finally, you get three mini basic brushes of the high, cruelty free quality that Too Faced is known for. A lovely one for blush, contouring and highlighting and two for the eyes-one of them is angled which makes it perfect for the brows as well. As a cute touch, you get a mini booklet with step to step directions on how to create three looks with the palette!

From left: Inner light, Sweet pink, Papa don't peach, Chocolate soleil

In all, this is an amazing palette as it combines products for the eyes and the face as well as high quality, travel size make up brushes. I would recommend it in a heartbeat as with it you can create a great range of looks for all occasions! Many shades and many textures. It's a set that has to be a part of your collection. Also it is a great introduction to the brand itself. Comment down below and let me know if you have this set and what are your thoughts on it! I hope you all have an amazing 2015!

THE IT BAG FOR SPRING AND SUMMER

   SPRING-SUMMER 2014

THE IT BAG

Moschino Powder Pink Quilted Eco Leather  Shoulder Bag

Hey lovely ladies and gents. With spring just around the corner, as the weather gets better and sunnier so does our wardrobe. As much as I love my black handbags, it is time to incorporate some color in my outfits, that matches the lovely spring mood. Looking for the perfect bag was not an easy task but when I saw this beauty I knew it is the one. From the Moschino "Love Moschino" series, this lovely bag combines two of my all time favorite trends: the Chanel like quilted texture and the sweet candy pink pastel color. It has a shoulder chain (another Chanel detail) which can be used as a single or a double strap. Besides its lovely design it is also quite functional as it is big enough to fit all the things a girl needs in her everyday purse. Pastel is one or even the biggest trend of this season. Mint, powder pink and baby blue are everywhere from clothes to make up and sunglasses. Investing in the season's hottest trend would be a good idea as you can match these clours basically to everything. They can be worn in the daytime and nightime and from spring till the end of summer. I personally love this purse! Its lovely candy colour is just too cute to resist! A candy coloured purse is a spring essential as it is the perfect touch to soften up any harsh dark coloured look and helps the transition from the cold moody winter to the lovely warm spring. The colour is up to you but the choices are many and all lovely. One thing is for sure; your pastel purse is going to rock any spring outfit and soon it will be your everyday accessorie. With a classy and cute purse you can never go wrong. Comment down below and share your favorite pastel bags that hold a special spot in your spring/summer wardrobe.

Sigma/RealTechniques/ELF/MAC Makeup brushes review/comparison

Make up brushes review/comparison (Sigma,Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman, E.L.F. and M.A.C.)

From left to right: Sigma, E.L.F. , Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman and M.A.C.

Hey hey dolls how are you all? I know I have not been around for a while but I am back and with an awesome post. On the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales I decided it is the perfecrt moment to expand my poor make up brushes collection that up till then consisted of M.A.C. and invest in some staple brushes of different brands that I have heard so much about.

The first brand I wanted to try for ages but I found it a bit expensive was Sigma. Therefore they were the first brushes I purchased on my make up brush buying spree. The brushes I had my eye on were: the pencil brush, the waterline brush, the tightline brush, the smudge brush, the crease shader brush and the small shader brush. The first thing I noticed about them is the similar appearance to the M.A.C. brushes. Black and silver, however, they are obviously smaller and shorter. Apart from that they are similar. They are not very dense, on the contrary they are quite soft and smooth. I absolutely loved them all except the crease shader one. The reason I did not particularly like this brush is the fact that it is not dense at all which makes it very difficult for me to apply any eyeshadow on the crease. The tightline and waterline ones are pretty amazing and I am in love with them. They are dense enough to make the creation of a line an easy peasy task. Because of that I even use the waterline one instead of eyeliner and create a winged eye line. With that said I really like the Sigma brushes and i believe it is something worth investing in because the quality is lovely.

The next brushes I was really looking forward to try were the collection of Samantha Chapman for Real Techniques. I have watched videos on youtube where people were raving about them and it really intrigued me to try them on. The ones I picked are: the face expert brush, the blush brush and the stippling brush. One thing i can say about these brushes: AMAZING. I have to admit those are my favorite brushes so far. They are all quite thick and firm in lovely colors. They are very dense but not too dense which makes them perfect for applying products, especially liquid foundation and make up. The face expert brush is perfect for liquid products because its shape and short hair make it easier to fit in all the hollows and sockets of the face and apply the product there in a couple of minutes. It also helps blending the product in the face with minimum effort creating a flawless outcome. For the exact same reasons, the stippling brush is a very good alternative to the expert face brush for applying liquid products. Nevertheless I adore both brushes and I like to use one for make up and one for foundation. The blush brush is lovely as its pointy shape is great not only for applying blush but mostly for contouring the face, as it fits perfectly in the hollows of the cheeks. All three brushes are so soft and you can feel there was a lot of thought put in the making of them. They definately worth having them in your collection.

E.L.F is a brand I always thought it has low quality products for some reason, however, after some research I found out that their make up brushes receive many positive reviews. Combining that with the low price I thought I should give it a try. Therefore I got the powder brush, the angled eyeliner brush, the small smudge brush, the angled foundation brush and eyebrow brush and combo. These brushes were a pleasant surprise as they were better quality than I expected. They are quite dense and soft. The powder brush is extremelly dense which makes it easy to apply pressed powder but a bit difficult for loose powder. The eyebrow combo brush is lovely for grooming my eyebrows and the small smudge brush is the right size to create a smudgy/smokey eye look. The angled eyeliner brush has made the diffcult and frustrationg eyeliner process much more easier and fun. Lastly the angled foundation brush was a big disappointment as the reason for getting it was to use it as a contouring brush bc of its angled shape, but the actual brush is extremelly thin which makes it more appropriate for creating a line than contouring the face. Because of its density it is indeed right for applying foundation which is its actual purpose but not right for my purpose. In all E.L.F studio make up brushes are very well made and do not really luck in quality, which taking into consideration of their price makes them a great alternative to all the higher priced make up brushes mentioned above.

Lastly I would like to mention M.A.C. to conclude the comparison of all the make up brushes I own. My M.A.C. brushes were not purchased on Black Friday, as a matter of fact they are my very first - and till recently my only- brushes. I am not gonna go in great extent about them as they are quite similar to the Sigma ones; they are well designed, good quality, not very dense but dense enough, soft and easy to apply all the relative products. The biggest disadvantage of those brushes though, is the fact that they fall off. Sometimes while I use them and sometimes during the cleaning proccess, M.A.C. make up brushes fall off. Not all of them but mostly the face ones like the blush and duo fibre brushes. This is quite upsetting as these brushes are very expensive and supposed to be professional. Although I love M.A.C. cosmetics, I can not say I am also loving their brushes for their high prices.

In total all those brands have lovely make up brushes and the main basic difference is the price. If you can't afford to spurge on your makeup tools E.L.F is an amazing alternative with quite a large variety for every purpose. However, if you have a few extra bucks and you wish to invest in some good quality, higher price brushes then Real Techniques or Sigma would be my personal suggestion.special Real Techniques-they are simple fantastic. M.A.C. is not that bad either but for that price I would go for the previous two brands mentioned. Bottomline it all goes back to your purpose and budget. I hope this review is a bit helpful to all you lovelies outhere who, like me, are looking for some staple brushes to add or even start their collection with. I would love to hear your experience with those brands or any other brands you have tried and absolutely love or even hate!

Till next time take care dolls ;) xxx

My skincare routine

My skincare routine

Elizabeth Arden: Visible diffrence skin balancing toner
Clarins: Multi-active night youth recovery cream
Shiseido: Anti-dark circles eye cream
M.A.C: Studio moisture cream
Lush: Angels on bare skin face cleanser

Happy New Yeaaaar!!! How are you dolls? Still recovering from the parties from the holidays? It feels that this year passed faster than usual since we are already in 2014! As the holidays comw to an end I decided that the first post of this year should be about something which is important for every girl out there; the skincare routine. Considering that every day our skin has to face the combination of all the chemical makeup and the pollution of the city, it is very important to take care of it on a daily basis so we can protect it and minimize the damage done. Also since I am 26 years old I decided it is the right time to start thinking about the future aging process and do something for it! Personally I prefer not to use many products on my skin therefore the routine I follow is just 4-5 little steps which can take me a long way.

After some thought I figured that the best time to really take care of my skin would be during the night as I feel that while we sleep, our body is in a way heeling itself and therefore all the products will be better absorbed and they will offer more impressing results. So to start with the routine the most important thing is to always and i do mean ALWAYS remove the makeup we have on. There is nothing worse than smeared makeup from last night absorbed from the skin. It does not really matter what you use - it could be makeup wipes or makeup remover lotion - what matters is to never ommit that step no matter how tired or bored you may feel. After that my absolutely favorite step is to cleanse my face with my beloved facial cleanser from Lush. I can not stress enough how much i love this product. I like to take a small quantity and rub it gently all over my wet face for a few minutes. It is like magic happens at that moment as after I wash my face it feels so smooth and healthy. For the next step I gently, using a cotton pad, put all over my face Elizzabeth Arden's balanching toner. Now this step was something I always thought it is quite redudant and uneccessary. However, after I used the toner for the first time I was shocked enough to see that there were still pollutants left on the skin which thankfully the toner removed. That was the moment i realised that a toner is actually a neccessary step in a cleansing proccess. Now that the skin is completely clean it is time to apply the creams. For my face I love Clarins' night cream for youth recovery. It is ar ich moisturizing cream that has anti-aging action as well. The cream is amazing. It feels quite rich yet it is easily absorbed by the skin and keeps it smooth. Needless to say that the next morning my skin feels lovely. It glows and looks so fresh and healthy and blemish-free. Last step for the nightcare routine is the eye cream. This is a very important step for me as I have massive dark circles under my eyes mostly because of ym sleeping patterns. Shiseido's anti-dark circle eye cream is lovely. It is quite rich and although it might feels heavy it is absorbed immediately and helps brighten up the dark areas.

As mentioned before I believe that night routine is more important but that does not mean we should neglect our skin during the daytime. For that reason I like to repeat some of those steps, like the cleansing and eye cream, during the day as well but instead of heavy anti aging creams I simple apply MAC's moisturizing cream which is extremelly hydtrating and leaves my skin smooth and ready to face the challenges of a new day. I know that my skincare routine might struck as a lot of trouble to some, however it takes only 10 minutes which I gladly spend in order to keep my skin fresh, young and healthy. I believe that taking care of it early creates the right basis for having a lovely skin as we get older. All the products I use are absolutely amazing. I was quite sceptical when I purchased them but right now I do not regret my decisions at all. My skin is in a much better condition in the past and it gets better by the day.

Do you have a skincare routine and if so which products do you swear by?

Till next time take care dolls ;) xxx

BH Cosmetics palettes review (120 eyeshadow 5th edition and professional blush 10 color palletes)

 BH cosmetics palettes review

Hey hey lovelies how have you been? I know I have not posted in a while beacause things were a little hectic lately. However, I am back and with the review i promised a while ago about BH cosmetics palettes: 120 eyeshadow palette 5th edition and 10 color professional blush palette. In my first impression post I wrote how both of the palettes looked quite lovely, colors looked pigmented and in total I was very satisfied considering the price of those babies. Now I am here to talk a bit about the quality of the products as well as how easily they are applied on th skin and how long they stay up.

To start with the eye shadow palette I can not stress enough how lovely the colors are. The variety is incredible from matte to glittery colors to metallic ones the choices are so many it will take you a while to decide what to wear every time. All colors are very pigmented however, the sparkly and metallic ones are a bit more pigmented and easier to apply than the matte ones. This is an issue that I have come across in my sleek palettes as well. I do not know why matte colors are less pigmented and not so easy to apply on the eyes than the shimmering ones but this does not make them any less lovely. Also for those who are not friends of the shimmery colors here is a little tip: you can wet your brush before applying a matte color and this will turn your color a bit metallic - not sparkly- and it will help it stay on your eyes longer. With that said i can honestly recommend this palette for those who seek an affordable palette that is close to purple/pink and brown shades as this is the majority of the colors with some interesting twists such as navy blue and silver grey and of course the basic black. It worths the money as it is merely 12$ and it has 120 shades. Even if you will never use some, you can still get your money's worth since you will definately like at least half of them. Also I did not face any allergy based problems with my eyes and any irritations after using the product so for me at least it was quite alright therefore i believe the quality is not bad at all. So this is a winner quality-price combo in my opinion.

Now as far as the professional blush palette is concerned I am equaly satisfied and excited. This palette is amazing. It has all the colors I like and thensome. Besides the beautiful shades of pink, which is what I usually wear, it also has darker shades which can be used for contour or as bronzers in the summer. Some are quite shimmery some not really which is great since there is a place and a time for shimmer. The colors are very pigmented maybe I could say too pigmented meaning you will need to use a small quantity on your brush and even tab it a a bit for the excess product to drop. Keeping that in mind and really blend the color on your skin, this palette is lovely. It is very versatile and can be used on all different skin colors and shades. Also its price at only 11$ makes it practically a steal. Once again i did not face any allergic reactions and problems on my skin or any breakouts so I can absolutely recommend this palette to everyone who wants to have blushes and contours all in one package. Although the price is quite low it does not lack in quality which makes it another winner.

I do not own many products from BH Cosmetics however from those two I got I could not be more satisfied and happy with my choices. I definatelly recommend these palettes and hopefully I will get my hands on more BH make up products. Do you like BH Cosmetics? Share your opinion and experience down below as well as which products do you have and love or hate.

First impression/review BH cosmetics 120 eyeshadow 5th edition and 10 color professional blush palettes

BH COSMETICS

First impression review

120 eye shadow palette 5th edition
10 color palette prfessional blush

120 eye shadow palette 5th edition - BH Cosmetics

10 color palette professional blush - BH Cosmetics

Hey hey girlies how are you? I know i have not been around lately due to some personal issues however, I am very excited about today's post. I recently received two palettes I was looking forward to get my hands on from BH cosmetics and I decided i should make a post about my first impression and some sort of a review of the products. So let's get to the point! For a while now I have watched many youtubers raving about BH cosmetics and how lovely yet affordable their products are. I was quite intriuged from all this fuss and I decided to give the brand a try. However, purchasing the products from the states was proved to be quite a challenge and therefore I thought it would be better to buy them from somewhere within Europe so it will be easier to get to me. While looking for BH resellers in Europe i came across a site or two which were selling the known for their cheap price products at ridiculously higher price (even double) and soon i got disappointed. All this until one day i discovered quite shocked that there is a BH cosmetics site in Germany. Thats right in Germany! The actual BH cosmetics site and not just a reseller. And to my further excitement the products were barely a bit more expensive than in the US site and also i could ship them home through a courier company and not the unreliable post office. Therefore i placed my order and a week later it was at my door!

The products I decided to get are two of my favorite ones that caught my eye; the 120 eyeshadow palette 5th edition and the 10 color professional blush palette. Needless to say they were quite wrapped up and in perfect condition, both of the products are absolutely stunning. So let's start witht he blush palette. As the description says there are 10 colors in this palette from different shades; you can find ice pink to warm peach and dark bronze color. They are all highly pigmented and easy to apply. Soe of them are shimmery and soe matter. The picture in the site does not do justice to the colors as they look less vibrant than what they are. For that purpose i decided to do a swatch of them on my arm so you can see better how they apply and how pigmented they are. Some of these colors suit the fair skin tones and some the darker ones. However, I believe all can be put in use since besides my favorite pink and peachy shades, I can use the darker ones as bronzers in the summer or for contouring. The material of the case is quite thick and not the shinny tacky one in my opinion. Also something very interesting i found written in the back of the products is that BH does not test on animals. This makes me even fonder of the brand as i do not approve the animaltesting one bit and companies that are ethically right always have my vote. In all the 10 color professional blush palette is quite worthy. It has 10 colors that range in different shades satisfying all tastes. Pink, fucsia, peach, nude, brown, bronze even a vibrant orange one, Being shimmery and matte, they can be used in different occasions. They all apply nicely and are very pigmented. If you were not sure about this palette do not waste any more minutes! Get your hands on it; it totally worths it! Plus the price was quite low for 10 blushes that can be used for multi purposes so why not ladies?

Here there is a picture of  the palette so you can see the colors as they actually look and a picture of them swatched on my inner arm

Now now about that 120 eyeshadow palette! I chose the 5th edition because from the pictures it seemed that the majority of colors are brown, nude and pink/purple, which are my favorite colors to use. I believe they flatter me more based on my brown eye color and fair skintone. I have to say I was not disappointed at all! The palette is true and just lovely. 50% of the colors are brown and nude ones with the remaining 50% to be the pink and purple ones, white and highliters and some random colors like green, navy blue and a couple of black shadows. I am very satisfied with the variety and the shades. Some colors are very shimmery, some less shimmery and some are matte. In general they are very pigmented with some being more pigmented than others. They are all very beautiful and some of them have a quite rich and thick feel on my fingers. As I absolutely love all the brown/nude/gold shades and also the purple ones i am not too fond of the pink ones however, I believe I could give them a try because they are quite pretty. Also the navy blue was a pleasant surprise and the black and highliting ones are always usefull. The green ones are lovely and since they are my mom's favorite I am gonna leave them to her. The case is from the same material as the blush one with the adition of a mirror which just makes things much more easier. In general the 5th edition 120 color palette is a stunner! The colors are pretty, most of the shades are my taste and the majority of them is very pigmented with the exception of some matte ones which need a bit more quantity to show. If you love your brown and purples like me this is the palette to go!Let's not forget the low price as well!

Below there are pictures of the actual pallete as well as some colors i swatched on my inner arm from both palettes (from the 120) as they stood out to me more. I hope the pictures help you have a better impression of how the colors truly show and how pigmented they are.

Of course there are many brown and nude colors but I thought the ones i swatched are more interesting. This does not mean the brown ones are notamazing! This post is about the first impression i got from the palettes. As soon as I use them both I will make another post reviewing how they actually feel on my face. Which means I will talk about whether they crease, last, are easy to apply and whether the irritate my skin or not. So sit tight dolls and wait for the after use review if you are interested. I hope this first impression review and the pictures are helpful for anyone who is interested int hose two palettes. Comment down below and let me know what you think and if you have any other BH products you love or hate.

Till next time take care dolls :) xxx

Shoes: Blanco

Hey hey everyone. Today's post is the fourth installment to the Trends of Autumn posts, combined with an OOTD. One of the most timeless trends in fashion is the combination of black and white. There is nothing classier than the monochromatic style which returned in the catwalks this fall (if it ever left). The  can be seen from high fashion brands such as Narciso Rodriguez and J Mendel to high street brands such as Topshop and Forever21. One of the statement pieces of Fall/Winter 2013 is the hooudstooth jumpers and skirts. The dynamic duo is such a strong choice in an outfit that all that needs is a pair of red shoes or any color shoes really to just complete it by creating a beautiful contrast. Easy to style, elegant and feminine, black and white is rightfully one of the hottest trends of this season.
Inspired by this Coco Chanel like trend, i decided to create a more casual and simple ootd. Therefore  I paired a black skater skirt I got from H&M with a lovely white jumper I got from Forever21. The jumper althought it might not be eausy to see has also a lovely aztec-like abstarct print and texture, which gives more dimension to the blouze. The reason I chose for the top to be white, is the fact that a top in a bright color gives glow and light to the face and compliments it more. To finish of the outfit, i chose a pair of faux leather boots with straps from Blanco, because they are my favorite everyday choice when it comes to shoes, plus they make the outfit a bit more masculine, instead of pairing it with some ballerinas which would make it more girly. This outfit is perfect for everyday and if you want to spice it up a bit you can always add some accessories preferably in gold color but not too many, as it is supposed to be simple. What do you guys think of the monochronatic trend? Are you ready to jump on the black and white train?

TRENDS OF AUTUMN -- CHAPTER 3: DO IT LIKE A SCOTTISH

TRENDS OF AUTUMN

CHAPTER 3

DO IT LIKE A SCOTTISH

Tartan in catwalks fall 2013

Hey everyone! How are you all? I hope you are enjoying a lovely weekend. This is my third instalment in the "Trends of autumn" series. This time we are gonna talk about a trend that has come and go many times in the fashion world. Also is one of my favorites! What do Scottish people, punk music and this fall's trends have in common? You guessed right! Tartan! The lovely checked print in many colors from the usual (yet always loved) red to bink and green, tartan is one of the hottest trends this fall. It can be seen in cute dresses, suits, pants and even coats. Of course let's not forget the tartan shirts which are always associated with the punk musical movement. Red tartan is the first and safest choice. I myself, have indulged with a beloved red tartan shirt which always makes me feel a bit cooler than i actually am. Pairing with a leather jacket and some converse or even biker boots, the tartan print can become really edgy and rock.
However this fall, the sweeter and more ladylike side of tartan is exposed. Cute woolen coats, sharp blazers and girlie skirts, give a fresh breath to this traditional trend. And this range of new colors helps the tartan to sneak in our closet easier. Match your skirt to a creme jumper or your blazer with a pair of black pants and you will feel like you are living in some beautiful little town in Scotland. And everyone have to admit Scotalnd is beautiful! Almost all the designer brands have tartan pieces in their autumn collections, like Moschino, Celine and Louis Vuitton. And for the bolder ones listen to this: Tartan on tartan! Yes you heard me right. High fashion brands such as Lanvin and Dolce and Cabbana took the trend a step further by daring what used to be condemned; pairing check with check prints. If they suggest it then it can't be that wrong right? So either if you pick a subtle coat and skirt or even you dare to mix and match two pieces together, you should give this trend which comes from the roots and the traditions of Scotland, a try. Trust me tartan will not let you down ;)

"Angels on bare skin" facial cleanser by Lush -- Review

FACE PRODUCT REVIEW

"ANGELS ON BARE SKIN" FACIAL CLEANSER BY LUSH

ANGELS ON BARE SKIN: LUSH

Hey hey everyone how are you all? Recently I am a bit under the weather although it is quite warm here in Greece. Therefore I decided to blog not about fashion this time but about a face product that I completely adore. For quite a long time I was looking for a nice cleanser for my face. It was a bit hard as I am very picky when it comes to facial products. My skin is a difficult combination as it is a bit sensitive and dry on my cheeks area, while my T zone is oily. Therefore finding the right product was not an easy task. As i was lost and frustrated, I came across many positive reviews about the facial products of Lush. As many of you might know Lush is a brand which creates products for the body and hair, all from natural ingredients. A plus also is that the specific brand is a cruelty free brand which does not performs tests on animals. I was always fond of Lush and especially its bath bombs and melts but i never had paid any attention really to its facial cleansers. So reading all these positive reviews made me quite intrigued to take the plunge and try one for myself. Going down to a Lush store was such a pleasant experience as the stuff was quite helpful and really pointed me to the right direction as to which one of the cleansers was more appropriate for my skin type.

"Angels on bare skin"! What a lovely name don't you guys think? Just from the name alone I knew this product can not be bad as angels are not bad at all right? This cleanser practicalle changed my life. From the very first use i felt my skin completely smooth and different. The product ingredients (all natural) include almond milk which has a toning ans soothening effect, kaolin which absorbs grease and cleanses the skin, vegetable glycerine that moisturizes the skin and many essential oils (rosea and chamomile) that help the skin balance. Lastly it has a lovely lavender scent. This product cleanses the skin while it also offers a mild exfoliation and finally leaves the skin moisturized. You only need to use the smallest amount of it and rub it gently over your face like you are exfoliating. Once you are done rinsing water you will immediately feel your skin velvety smooth and more firm and toned. Additionaly i started to notice that by using this product on my face twice a day, any red spots or zits started to vanish fast and thereforee my skin ends up looking flawless. In no way my skin has acne issues, therefore i do not claim that this product will help with acne; what I do claim though is that if your skin is a bit dry and has some redness/red spots here and there, this product is the one for you! Your face will become clear quite fast and it will look moistured and healthy. Don't forget to put your favorite moisturizing cream after use to have even better results! I can't stress enough how much i love this cleanser! I love using it twice a day and just touching my skin afterwards to feel how smooth it is (yes i am that weird :p). What I love most about it is the fact that all ingredients are natural and do not irritate my skin one bit. If you are looking for a new cleanser and your skin type is close to mine you should give this product a try. You don't have to commit to it as you can buy as much quanity as you wish and you only need to use a small amount every day. This product totally enhanced my love and admiration of Lush. If you have tried this product or any of Lush's cleanser comment down below and share your opinion and thoughts about them.

TRENDS OF AUTUMN CHAPTER 2: CATWOMAN IS BACK

 TRENDS OF AUTUMN

Chapter 2

CATWOMAN IS BACK

Hey hey everyone how are you? I hope you are all having a lovely weekend. This new post is going to be about another autumn fashion trend. Jumping out of a Batman comic or from the S&M universe, PVC is the material of this year's fall. Shinny, not very stretchy but very fabulous, PVC is here to steal our hearts. High waisted skirts give a verry sharp and firm tone at the office, while long trench coats give the impression you are a character of the Matrix moviers, living in a digital world. Knee length dresses can transform even the most modest and conservative woman into a sexy seductress. And lets not forget the Catwoman like pants. Be aware MIchelle Pfeiffer! PCV is a material that many might mistake for leather, however it is not;it is plastic! Yes plastic! Plastic that looks like leather. Because of that very fact all the clothes made of it are not what you could call stretchy at all and not extremelly comfy. On the other hand they are very fierce and beautiful, so one must decides if they value comfort over style. I personally love the way PVC looks on a body and have my first PVC clothing already; a Topshop powder pink skirt ( you can see it on my ootd post). Ans the best part is that in this year's fall PVC comes in all colors and shades: from pastel pink and yellow to fierce black and red. So even if someone is a bit afraid to try this unique material because it might look a bit too harsh and very S&M like, they can always choose a cute pastel colour to soften it up. You can see PVC in the fall collections of all major high fashion brands, which is why it became a famm trend. So, my advice will be to be daring and be fierce! If you are not very sure about it, try a staple piece like a black trenchcoat or a dress. However, if you belong to the more daring ones, try a vibrant red coat or dress that will take your sex appeal up high. There is a piece for every taste. The question is: Are you gonna dare to let your inner Catwoman come to surface? What do you guys think about this fall trend? Comment below and share your thoughts.

A fall trend inspired ootd

THE PASTEL TREND: OOTD

Skirt: Topshop
Shirt: Reiss
Shoes: Zara
Purse: Blanco

Hey hey everyone! I hope you are all having a great weekend so far. Inspired by the fall trend of pastels (see my post about fall trends) I decided to create an ootd based on my favorite pastel colour at the moment: the powdery pink! Therefore the basic item of the outfit is the pink pencil skirt. The skirt is highwaisted and the material is pvc (another fall trend!). It is just as amazing as it looks in the picture. I absolutely love this skirt. The knee length is very flattering and although the pvc material is not famous for being stretchy, the specific skirt is quite tight yet has some space to move - even for the curvier girls. I paired this gorgeous skirt with a dark shade of pink (fuchsia) shirt because I like the fact that although there is a contrast between the two shades, pink remains the basic colour. For the shoes and accessories I decided to go with black because it could tone down the outfit and make it more appropriate for autum. A nice black coat could be the final touch for this look. I believe that because the weather is getting colder that doesn't mean you can't have fun with your style and brighten up your wardrobe. Pink is definately a season trend in any shade and as the absolute girly colour it is very flattering. Do you dare to spice up ur fall wardrobe with some pastel pink or not? Comment down below and share your thoughts about the outfit and the specific trend. I hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend. See you chickas :)

BLACK KITTY

OOTD

BLACK KITTY
Jumper: Forever21
Skirt: H&M
Shoes: Migato

Hey hey lovelies! Brrrr what a cold day today in Athens. Temperature dropped so fast it made my head spinning! One moment I was going around in a T-shirt and sandals and the next moment I find myself in a jumper and tights. So my outfit for the day was something casual and cute. I love black as a color because it has many dimensions and it can be cute, sexy and dark all at once. Also black is easy to match and style and you really can't go wrong with black. My skater skirt is from H&M and I purchased it in my recent trip to New York as well as my jumper which is from Forever21. I was logging for a kitty distressed jumper since last winter and couldn't really find one that suit me well, so when I found this one in Forever21 I was more than happy. The print is really cute and girly and I love black&white patterns. The shoes are from a greek brand which is called Migato (I don't know if it exists in other countries too). They are my newest babies and I am in total love with them. They are black patent leather and quite shiny. They have buckles on them and they are flatforms. My first flatforms!! So comfy and cute they look like creepers a bit which is great because I was considering getting a pair of creepers but their flatform height was a bit too much for everyday use for me (I am 5'10'') and the height of these shoes is just perfect! I know that a all-black look may not be everyone's cup of tea however, it is a very wearable outfit and because of the cat print it becomes more cute and less harsh. What do you guys think about the all-black outfits? Comment below and share your thoughts about my ootd and black on black in general. Till next time lovelies!

TRENDS OF AUTUMN

CHAPTER 1

LET'S TALK ABOUT PASTEL

TOPSHOP LONDON FASHION WEEK FALL 2013

Hey hey everyone. How was your weekend? Mine was quite relaxing yet fun. However, one thing I noticed this weekend is the sudden change in the weather. In many countries all over the world and now in Greece too, autumn started to set in for good. You all know the signs; temperature drops, it's a bit chilly outside (enough to need a cardigan), boots start to replace the sandals etc. And since autumn is making an appearance I did some research to find out the hottest season trends. I was quite surprised to see that one of the major trends of this time of the year is the pastel colors on clothes and shoes. Pastel is a term refering to the candy like shades of colours that are not very vibrant or dark but on the contrary they are very bright. Although many will consider this palette as more approrpiate for spring, many major highstreet and high fashion brands will disagree. Topshop, Moschino, Celine and even Oscar de la Renta incorprorated pink, baby blue and light yellow in their fall 2013 collections. Inspired by the elegants and delicate look of 1920's, this trend is combining colours that are quite girly and brings a new fresh breath in the usually dark and somewhat difficult boarderline autumn wardrobe. But dont be fooled! Althought the colours may seem quite innocent and sweet, imagine pvc pencil skirts and mini dresses, all in powdery shades of pink and blue. Quite feminine and sexy don't you think? Easy to style as long as you are in a playfull mood, pastel is here to stay and to change the way we perceive the fall-winte fashion rules. And dont forget the optimistic effect of these colours; wearing a pink coat on a cold, cloudy day is definately going to lift your mood and cheer you up. However, the candy like colours are not a part of this fall's fashion but also this season's make up palette. Include those lovely colours in your everyday make up for a more romantic subtle look. Eyes or lips it doesn't matter;it will brighten up your face and make it even look younger and less tired. It's the magic of the colours guys i swear! Girly yet femine, powdery colours are a fall must in every fashionista's wardrobe.Or makeup kit. ;) What do you guys think about the new autumn trend? How do you feel about pastel colours in fall wardrobe? Comment below and share your opinion/thoughts! Till next time!
